^^ Let me be the first to compliment you on the lower ride! You did it just right...not too much but enough to make the stance a bit more aggressive and planted.

Good job my friend!

Why, thank you, my friend! I didn't realize 1.5 inches would make a difference, but it does.. and that's what she said!

RS+R springs. The same ones we've been talking about over in the TLX Suspension forum and thank you!

Thank you! It was a hell of a project, it gave this old man a good workout, mentally and physically. I can say that I did it myself (with the help of a very nice and thourough DIY), by gawd!!

Well, it's hard to say if it's different just yet. I know it's probably a placebo effect but it feels more planted and agile.. not that I have been able to really test it. I will let you know

I haven't done an alignment yet. From what others have reported, these springs keep the specs within tolerances. I will still have it checked when I get the chance.

19" x 8 with a +38 offset. I found the offset info via a google search since RonJon doesn't list the info on the website so I am not sure of the accuracy.

Thank you! Your DIY was such a HUGE help. I printed out the whole thing to use as I went along. I did find that an 18mm socket was needed for a few of the nuts/bolts.

I wished I had a lift to do the job but proved that the job can be done with a floor jack with jack stands.

Yep, I have the gouged knuckles, cuts and scrapes to show for it. It's not a project without some lost skin!

You are welcome to come see it or we can meet somewhere, sometime

Looks perfect... I picked up RS-R springs for my GS. Did you have the option for down or super down springs, if so which are these?

Thanks!

These are the downs, not super downs. I didn't want to go any lower

congrats ! looks great !!!

This is the exact set up i've been wanting.. Mild drop, nice semi aggressive/conservative rim size.

How's the ride ?? that's my main concern about getting springs. I dont want to lose the smooth ride quality.

You'll still want to get it aligned ASAP. Your toe is going to be pretty far off, and that will wear your tires out pretty fast! The only part within tolerance is the front camber. Rear camber is off (Just barely) and your toe will be way off.

Car looks good though!

I do plan to get it aligned. I am not too worried to rush it only because my drive to work is only 18 miles round trip. I will get it checked soon though, maybe next weekend.

Very very nice, your BCP looks gorgeous. How much was it to lower it. You have a very good taste. Did you sell the original rims?

now did you know apple has this thing called Ipod and holds over 1000s of songs, where you dont have to shuffle between CDs kidding!

Thank you! It's about 1.5 lower in the front, about 1 inch in the rear. I had the dealer install the stock rims when I bought the car since they sell RonJon's.

Ipod? Is that a coffin like thing? Can I live in it? LOL, j/k! I have an iPod in my car too. For some reason, I really like hearing different song parts in the different speakers (surround sound) which DTS-CDs do very well. If the head unit could read 6 channel wav files.. I might use that on a thumb drive!

Thanks! These ar 19" x 8". I am glad I went with 19's. The ride is a bit stiffer than stock on these springs.

If you have a air compressor, impact wrench, the right tools (all the special ones: a good spring compressor, tie rod and ball joint fork, etc) and patience.. it really can be done!

What's wrong, Stew, the TLX is too softly sprung and ES350 for your taste in stock form ?

I am really trying to figure the question you asked. The first part of the question is No, the second part.. "ES350 for your taste in stock form"... huh?

^^ So was your alignment really 'off' or just slightly?

Looking at your TLX from farther back like that also shows the great styling cues of the TLX. Design-wise, Acura has done a nice job with this car. I think this will age very well, as with most Acura designs actually.

The alignment wasn't off too bad in the front.. the camber in the rear is out of spec but not horribly so. I hope this is readable:

The picture is very legible actually....Although the numbers weren't off in a drastic way, you did the right thing by having done. It doesn't take long to do some damage to the tires.
