Key FOB no longer opening windows/sunroof... any ideas?
As many of you know, pressing the unlock button on the key fob twice, holding it down the second time causes the windows and sunroof to open... a great perk when the car has been sitting in the sun all day.
However, sometime in the last month, it no longer opens the windows/sunroof. I have retraced my steps, and I've ensured that the window lock isn't on...
Any thoughts as to what would make it stop like that?

If your key isn't sync'd to the car, would it still do that? As in the memory seating stuff...where you hold unlock and lock and the red light on the fob flashes twice I think? I don't remember exactly if that's the method but it's the thing you do to connect the fob to the car which will make it automatically adjust the memory seating when fob 1 unlock is pressed. Just a thought...I have no idea what else could be messing up that feature. If your key fobs work fine in terms of getting the memory seating done when you press unlock, then yea, go see the dealer.

Past keyfob issues have been linked to a weak or dying battery. I'd suggest taking a closer look...

Oh I had this problem. Did you somehow accidentally unlink the remote? I know this happened to me and almost all my features stopped working. Read the back of the remote and try it.

So here's what the dealer explained to me. At some point, the battery must have dipped down low enough to "erase" the settings of the power windows and sunroof. He said sometimes this will happen when sitting with the battery on but the engine off... which I have occasionally done.
He explained that when the windows "dont know" what fully open and fully closed are, you have to "tell" the vehicle that. (not only would the windows/sunroof not open with the key fob, but they wouldnt open with the "open to click" function where one touch fully opens the window/sunroof).
To make the car "re-learn," you do this:
With each window switch and with the sunroof, you open and hold the button to the open position 10-15 seconds after it reaches the fully open position.... and do the same for closing. It wont beep or make any kind of acknowledgement, but you have to do this with each window.
Once he showed me that, everything started to work again. Seems kind of odd, but I guess it makes sense. Glad it was an easy fix.

Hey all,
I'm having a similar issue and the dealer recommended trick above did not work. I have 2011 TSX Sportwagon (base model not tech pack). I've had it for about 6 months now and loving it, but this is really frustrating me since it started this issue a week ago. The issues go as follow:
1. Key fob unlock hold will not roll down any of the window and sun roof, although it will unlock all 4 doors
2. Key fob will not unlock the liftgate at all.
3. Door unlock button will not unlock the liftgate either
4. Key into the key hole will not do it
5. When in reverse, my side mirror behaves oddly
Essentially my liftgate won't open under any circumstance nor are my windows responsive to my keys. It's not the tech pack so the power lift feature/button is non-existent. I have to crawl into cargo area through the seat to physically unhinge the door from inside the car. I thought my key fob batteries were dying, but that's unlikely since all the other issues seem to relate. I've been desperately trying to see if it responds to my key and it responded once after several dozen attempts. Any ideas or people with similar issues? It's a string of problems that don't seem to all be under one topic here.
