Just purchased a '14 TSX and I'm nervous about some noises! HELP!
OK, so my 04 TL just died, R.I.P., and I found a '14 TSX online at a reputable dealer (Volkswagen). I believe it was a trade in. Anyway, there was a CarFax hit (accident report, no damage reported), but I felt pretty confident considering that the car drives like a dream and the dealership assured me the frame is good. OF COURSE, the next day, I noticed some sounds coming from the rear (left side, I believe), but only when I am on a bumpy road. This has sent me into major freakout mode thinking there is something majorly wrong that I can't fix. Car drives perfectly, no pull to either side with hands off wheel or when braking. I noticed very slight negative camber on the back tires (I just learned about that yesterday woo! hoo!), but I've read that's normal. My question: the car is immaculate inside and out and drives beautifully. Could rear noise indicate a super major issue? I'm ok with shock/strut/wheel issues. I'm just really worried about chassis damage
Thank you!!!
Thank you!!!

VTEC just kicked in, yo!
Take it to a mechanic and get it inspected if you're still worried.
You probably should've brought a mechanic to the dealership for an inspection before signing the papers, but obviously that's a moot point now. Definitely do that next time you're buying a used car though!
Good luck

Thank you to all who responded. I took it to Acura this morning and they said it's just a manufacturing snafu and that they just needed to put in a wedge to stop the creaking (the creaking was coming from the left rear), The SA knew exactly what it was before they even took it to be assessed because he said he's seen it before. So, lucky me! Turns out the car really is in awesome shape! I will respond later with more specifics so that hopefully another owner can have some info if they also run into this,

Ok, what they told me is that the two rear jack points were too tight and that the back end creaked because there was no give. They created a wedge at the points on each side. No more creaking, thank goodness.

I agree with BROlando or at the very least, I don't understand the explanation. Can you post pictures of what they did to your car and/or what the repair order says?
