Annoying noise while driving.

Please forgive if its been posted before. Annoying noise from 2010 3.7 TL. 108K miles on it, Dealership said its upper control arm. Its been replaced. Noise is still there. Seems like its coming from drivers front side. Seems to increase with speed. No noticeable vibration from steering wheel. Bad bearing? Shitty tires?

Link below.

Thank you all.

Sounds like a crappy tire to me. Rotate the front tires to the back and see if the noise shifts to the rear.

Did the dealer replace the control arm due to the noise? If so, they're morons. Suspension components usually cause clunks or more "sudden" noises when bad. That's a whirring kind of noise. Wheel bearing, tires, something rubbing, etc. Like Mossman said, rotate the tires and see if the noise changes.

They did diagnose it correctly. I ended up replacing it myself. Thanks for the advice!

Ball joint was bad on upper control arm. Dealership wanted around 600 so I replaced upper control arm myself.

Gotcha. But that didn't fix your original issue, which to me sounds like a bad tire.

Morning all! I don't want to start a new thread for different kind of noise. Seems like my exhaust is leaking somewhere. Funny thing is that noise appeared right after I did my brakes and rear calipers!

Thanks

I'm not sure I understand. You said the upper control arm was replaced but the noise was still there. Then you replaced it (again?) and the noise went away.

Not sure on that noise. It sounds like the resonator has been removed. Any modification to the exhaust?

I think I had a similar sound in my car: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJpL...ature=youtu.be

Replaced the wheels. When taken off you could literally feel bumps of uneven wear. Mechanic said to replace suspension and wheels. did both and now I'm at around 20k miles on new equipment and all has been fine.

Sorry for the confusion. Control arm was replaced only once.
Exhaust is completely stock.

Gasket after the cat converter completely rusted through! That was the noise. My shop got 3 or 4 ones from NAPA and none of them were right! I ended up going to Acura dealership to pick one up. They wanted $16 for it. After I showed them online price of $6, they just gave me one for free!!
