Parts Req'd for Timing Belt & Water Pump Replacement

If someone has a list of parts required for the timing belt/water pump replacement I'd love for you to share it. Part numbers would be very helpful.

Thanks guys.

I would say the all you really need is the timing belt, the water pump and a new serp belt and p/s belt since you'll have those off anyways. check the oil filled tensioner for the t-belt if its even a little damp replace it, don't risk it collapsing. I had this happen on a lexus and it was bye bye valves.

you really dont need any gaskets, the water pump has a new gasket with it and on the 3.2 engine you don't remove the valve covers or anything else, just the timing covers.

I wonder if I buy new timing belt, what is the shelf life for it? lets say I keep it in plastic bag at room temperature for couple of years, does it mean that its lifespan gets shorter by 2 years when i install it?

14520-P8E-A01 Automatic Adjuster
4400-P8A-A02 BELT, TIMING (197YU26)
19200-P8A-A02 WATER PUMP
Accessory Belts (power steering + alternator)
i would replace the auto tensioner(s)(not sure on the 6speed if there is 1 or 2). i'm guessing that's what the guy listed as automatic adjuster.

oh yea, coolant.

I can't believe I'm spending all this cash on a car I really would like to sell.

New brakes (rear rotors, 4 pads) go on tomorrow morning. Sigh...

did you look at the parts included in that auction?

not to mention it doesn't include more than half the extra things he ordered like the belt tensioners, hoses, belts, and thermostat stuff.

It has everything you need except the drive belts and tensioner. You could probably ask them to include that for an extra $100-$150.

also i don't see a need for valve cover gasket, spark plug gaskets, and cam seal gaskets. he is just removing the belts, he won't touch the cam seal unless you pulls the cam out. and crank seal??

A thorough 105k service should include a valve adjustment, thus valve cover gaskets will be needed.

Cam and Crank seals are a good idea to replace since there's very little labor added to the bill once everything is removed.

true, but he said his buddy was going to install the parts for 175... i doubt that includes a valve adjustment, although it's not the hardest thing in the world, dealerships usually charge a few hundred up to 500 for a valve adjustment.
