Light weight wheels on type S

Has anyone slapped a light weight set of wheels on their type S yet? I’m interested in what a difference its going to make to the car. The oem all season package has been weighed at 66.6lbs and the summer at 60.6lbs ( Acurazine ) Thats a ton of weight, and I feel it should have a pretty big impact on the larger drivetrain loss the car seems to be showing(along with shawd) As a comparable a 19” set of v spokes for a b9 S4 wheels weighs in at about 51 lbs apparently ( Audizine ). Ive ordered i a set of 19x8.5 Fast FC04’s that weigh in at 20.4lbs ( FC04 ) and have a set of 255/40/R19 Yokohama V905’s ( V905’s ) that are 27.3lbs for my winter setup. These should save around almost 19 lbs off the allseason set up and almost 13 lbs per wheel off the summer set and im sure there are lighter sets then this available. Removing 52-76 lbs of unsprung weight on an awd vehicle should certainly have a noticable affect on drivetrain loss. Wondering if anyone has any experience here yet?

I always heard that light weight wheels make a huge difference but I didn't find that to be true when replacing stock 2016 WRX wheels with Enkei RPF1's which were a lot lighter. Really couldn't tell a difference to be honest.

weird… usually unsprung mass is equivalent to like four times in sprung mass or something (not sure of where i’ve read that)

I had both the multi spoke and Y spoke wheels. I have replaced with Enkei Tsr-x 20x9.5. They are 23.6lbs. I can tell a difference over the multi spoke easily when it comes to acceleration. It’s definitely more fun over stock.

Looks nice! Do you have any profile pics of the car by chance? Also curious where you bought these and pricing (if you don’t mind sharing).

No problem, I got them from fitmentindustries.com for $1600 plus shipping/taxes. Very good value for weight lost compared to others and their flow formed. My mechanic and I were shocked how light it felt compared to the y spoke.

Thanks! They appear to fit well. Any spacers or centric rings needed?

No spacers but I am using centric rings. Just waiting on Tein springs to ship to lower it.
