Android Auto and Waze
Has anyone figured out how to get Waze to work on Android Auto? My '21 TLX showed the app for about 2 days after receiving from dealer but is now not showing. I have read the problem is with the touch interface for Android Auto. I have read & tried various fixes including putting AA and Waze in "Developer" mode but to no avail.
Waze is a billion times better than the base Navigation app. The maps for base Nav app are at least 8 months old as it shows roads closed that have been open since May 2020.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Disconnect phone from car
Start update Android Auto on phone
Scroll to bottom where it says Version, then tap on that 8 or 9 times. Eventually it will say developer mode enabled
Now hit snowman icon (upper right) and go to Developer Settings
Set Application Mode = Developer
Now plug in phone and you will see Waze is enabled to use with Android Auto and the TLX.

Hey smange2005 - this worked for me! The menu options were a bit different but I went in and selected Developer mode.
Reconnected AA and Waze shows up.
I can see why Google pulled. The UI is difficult to get to all the menu items. But still, I can use Waze!!! Now I can see where the po po are hiding.
Cheers.

I don't mind the Waze UI at all. FYI if you start a drive and share it on the phone, then plug it into the car the drive will stay loaded and your path will still show green. I tend to do this for loved ones in winter weather.
