Who’s Type S is this white beauty at Brightons in Illinois?

I just picked up my car from Brightons in Naperville, Illinois and I saw this white beauty. I am told it’s a gentleman named Adam who’s a part of this community.

come on, don’t be shy!

Not mine, though I am close by in Woodridge and have a white Type S (don’t have the performance wheels/tires though). Coincidentally I just dropped mine off somewhere else to have paint corrected and ceramic coating applied.

Nice!

I don’t live too far. I’m currently in Romeoville but I’m moving to Lockport in a few weeks. I dropped it off to have the ceramic coating applied in an area the body shop had to wet sand. I picked it up today and saw this beauty which looks to have the front underbody kit from the ASPEC to go along with their splitter.

There you are!

Chase loves his Acuras. I was excited to see yours and had to take photos as they pulled it in. ❤️

Did he let you get up close to see how nice the full frontal PPF looks? It’s literally invisible.

yea I didn’t want to get too close as that barrier was in the way for a reason lol but you can’t even tell it’s installed. I can’t wait to pick it up.

I actually was right by your car with Chase checking it out. I do love the look of the underbody kit on your front with the splitter. On blue it wouldn’t stand out but with the white it really stands out. He was telling me about you blacking out the antenna and roof. Going to look sick on white.

I only let them wash my car. Looks beautiful each time. No drive thru washes for me. They know how to keep my ceramic coating beautiful

Thanks Man I like it a lot with the front spoilers Gives it a aggressive front stance. Yea black roof I think it’ll look awesome. I keep seeing it more and more on white cars.

Well let me tell you this without you posting on here about Brighton I would’ve never knew about that place. So thank you, I appreciate it. From reading your posts for months now I decided that’s the place that will do it for me. Called and talked to chase and he was great. I ended up going there to talk to him in person to go over everything before even dropping off the car the following week.

no problem man.

I was recommended to them by the guy that does any PDR work that I need. After talking to the staff there and realizing there isn’t much staff turn around it was an easy decision. Plus, look at how many exotic cars they get there.

I’d be up for that. There is a Tiger Eye Pearl running around here too. I saw it the other day driving south on 53 actually very close to where I live.

Wonderful! I had them do the ceramic also as chase showed me the video of your car with how the water was beading off. I was sold and brought it back and left it for a few more days. Love everything they did and highly recommend them. 💯

I’m very glad he was able to show you how beneficial the ceramic coating could be. It’s even cooler to see it on the same car you have.

Very glad you like their work. One day we need to meet up. 😎

I like how the front aero kit looks on the front. Any tips on how to get it to fit with the Type S splitter?

How did you do it ? Acura says that the front aero kit won't fit the Type-S which has the OEM splitter.

they say it won’t but you make it fit! Many people did it on this forum. Search the threads and read. That’s what I did and took the chance and boom couldn’t be happier.

And I must say it looks way cleaner in person than any picture posted will. I couldn’t believe it fit so well with the splitter.

https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...r-spec-998281/

I have been following this forum since day 1. What I have gathered is that some members are able to put together OEM front aero pieces with aftermarket front splitter on their non-Type-S (example link above), but NOT "OEM front aero with OEM front splitter" on their Type-S.

Good work. Thanks for take one for the team. Now we all know that the OEM front aero pieces can be installed on the Type-S.

This is valuable information that benefits all Type-S owners.

We should have more of this quality threads, rather than having to read all the stupid Acura-pissing posts, put up by non-Acura (especially BMW) owners, that ruin our days in Acurazine.

Did you have to trim or cut some parts of the front aero kit or the Type S splitter to make it fit?

Illinois requires a front plate by law otherwise I’d do so. I have no interest in getting a ticket which they do give out here.

But it’s okay. I have the custom Chicago Blackhawks plates for a reason. They’re sharp looking.

Ive paid countless tickets for tints and plates in my lifetime with all my cars. I can care less unless it starts getting excessive.

This is why I have the Blackhawks plate with the “NUMB” plate which is in reference to Linkin Park. I actually like my plate.

I am not willing to pay fines for something such a license plate. I would prefer not having a front plate and I do believe they shouldn’t require them but in the end it’s a car and I do enough “Type S” stuff on the highways to not want to draw more attention.

I would have tinted my windows darker but they’re at 40% which is just above the legal limit of 35%. Reason being is Crystalline film goes by increments of 10% and I wanted to keep it legal while having the benefits of the film.

I actually work right around there so depending on the time I was either heading to work or home. 😇

Side note, these Type S are sexy in the wild. We’re you in a Type S also or driving another car at that time? If the Type S I’m shocked I didn’t notice you! I always look out.

Ah, makes sense. The only time I’ve seen a Type S in the wild is while on my work truck too. Figures…

You caught the picture just before I rolled the windows back up. I was letting some of that heat out as the AC kicked in lol

@KrylonBlue @TypeS22 Hey guys, sorry for reviving this. I'm also in the area (Naperville/Plainfield) and just picked up a 22 Type S. I was going to give Brighton a call for a quote, what did you guys have done, full or partial ppf, and what level of ceramic did you do?

Congrats and welcome!

I got full front end, bumper, fenders, hood and mirrors. Don’t do partial spend the extra and get the full. I also got a black roof done and 2 stage ceramic. Ask for Chase. He’s really great.

I ended up giving everyone a nice tip and bought pizza for all the workers for the great work.

Don’t remember how much I paid exactly but worth every penny but I plan to keep the car for a while as I put a ton of work and money in it accessory wise.

Thanks! I just scheduled up a full frontal ppf and 2 stage ceramic. Chase wasn't available to speak to but the woman that I scheduled with was very helpful.

Let Chase know you were sent by Stephen with the “Numb” Apex Blue Type S. He should also know @TypeS22. He’s a great guy. I actually need to see him soon as my back bumper has a bunch of straight line surface scratches from something brushing up against it. I think they’ll come out with a buff but I’d rather him check it out so any ceramic can be reapplied to that small area.

As for the work done I had a full frontal PPF and stage 2 Ceramic coating w/ wheels removed so they could be fully done too.

I didn’t even think about tipping them. 🤦‍♂️

Money was so tight and I was about to buy a house so I was penny pinching. Next time I’m in I have to take care of Chase if possible because he’s been amazing to me. When I call Brightons I actually request a call back if Chase isn’t available. Most people there are great but it’s easier this way as Chase knows my car already.

Quick Reply: Who’s Type S is this white beauty at Brightons in Illinois?
