Interesting. I would think it’s too soon for a PMC trim version of the TLX but at this point, Acura can go any direction and it shouldn’t be shocking. It definitely wouldn’t be a manual transmission option - we’ll have to wait and see.
im thinking when the PMC comes out its going to be in that new blue. you can clearly see the aspec badge. not sure what acura is up to.
edit: maybe a 2022 Advance Aspec?

No need to wait for the MMC to do so. They got all the parts available to put one together, My guess is the PMC edition will use the Type S as the base.

I have feeling we will start getting Advance/A-SPEC for all models moving forward. Acura was criticized for not allowing customers having advance and A spec features. That’s my guess!
The sliding around and whatnot makes me think something performance-oriented, buuut that could also just be marketing folks at work. Advance + A-Spec trim seems most likely. I'd be surprised if they did anything significant with the performance of the car so soon, though that would be nice.
TLX has been on sale for over a year now. It's more than likely the video is promo hinting at 2022 getting a PMC trim, same as RDX. They have to do something with the NSX factory now that the NSX is no more. My guess is there's going to be a PMC for every model, even the Integra (at some point 2-3 years from now).

I love how in the TLX promo video (May 28, 2020) they installed mechanical rear brake inside the car to push the car into a slide to simulate RWD. They even said it's a pre-production model and production won't be the same one. Then they sprinkled some CGI smoke flavor on top of it:
I though that scene (and the 360) was cool. I would never "drift it" like that ... but it was neat that it could. So, it turned-out to be "smoke-and-mirrors" huh ... figures.
In fact, back then ... convinced me to put a deposit down on one ... one of the first batch to reach my Texas city. Basically, sight-unseen (lesson learned). I originally wanted a TLX-2.0t-Tech-shAWD real-bad. However, after the test drive, I knew it would have to an Advance (for upgraded interior, upgraded suspension, surround cameras, and power-folding mirrors). I'll stop the story-telling there as it is all documented here somewhere already.

Doubt it's a PMC, they wouldn't tease it in a color that's already available or similar to an existing one.
A-spec + Advance is def more likely...but why show it drifting around? The 2.0T + 6MT is less likely, but it did exist in the Accord at one point, so not gonna rule that out yet...

A) Manuals don't sell at the level where it makes sense for most companies to invest in developing them. It's. Not. Happening.
B) Acura's marketing is just that. It's marketing. Marketing isn't a promise. It's designed to generate excitement and interest for a product. That's it.

If every single 2nd Gen forum bought one, it would still be irrelevant to their sales. Enthusiatcs don't matter to car companies. The only one still giving some damn is Subaru/Toyota with the new BRZ/GR86. A rear-wheel drive coupe with limited slip diff, manual transmission and mechanical hand brake and naturally aspirated.
