Type S Upgraded Wheels

Does anyone know how durable the upgraded wheels are for the Type S? My current A spec wheels are horrible. I'm constantly having to touch them up due to chips from highway driving.

I'd imagine they are as durable as the conditions they are met with. I don't do a lot of highway driving and when I do I'm not driving over loose gravel and such. After 2 months of ownership I don't have any chips or blemishes to speak of.

How do you get so many chips that it's bothersome in such a short period of time? Are you driving on gravel and dirt roads or something?

Interesting. Paint chips on the hood and the front bumper, I can understand. Rock chips on the windshield, I can understand.

But chips on the wheels due to highway driving, how does it happen ?

I got these Vossens for my TLX Aspec......

These wheels are 1 inch wider than OEM, but I'm using the OEM rubber---no issues. Plus, they look terrific!

Those wheels look really good on the TLX. I believe AHC Garage also put 20” versions of them on a couple of blue A-specs a while back and they looked excellent. That’s probably the only mod the A-spec needs - better wheels.
