I noticed a light rattle when hitting certain bumps in my new 23 TYPE S from the day I got it....at first I thought it was maybe SUMMER TIRE slap? Or the like....not familiar with a super sticky tire as it's been a LONG time since I've used them....but anyway....

Went to service (I work for an Acura dealer) and said something...in the meantime I'm talking to a tech about ANOTHER Type S, one of my clients, that is in for....a rattle and rubbing noise. Anyway, Acura told him to replace upper and lower arms, brakes and rotors (for the rubbing noise), which is gone and the 'rattle' is still there. The tech hit the struts with a rubber mallet and on the left strut, driver side, heard...a rattle. I took a ride with him in this Type S....SAME noise as mine.

So? Potential strut issue on 23's. In case you hear anything...FYI.

 

My front drivers side strut is leaking (pinkish fluid) and will be replaced later this week. I don’t have any rattles there today, but some strange noises under heavy loads. They are also going to tackle the rear partial shelf rattle. 2022 TLX Type-S.

I’ll update if anything changes.
