I added some goodies today....trunk tray, heated steering wheel, interior Carbon Fiber package.
The Carbon Fiber looks outstanding! Gotta hand it to Acura on that. However, the trunk tray is "awkward"....it sticks out and doesn't sit flush with the top of the trunk-it just looks "off".
But here's a little of my own handiwork.....
I'll get a full-on front view later. It was pulled in the garage-this was the best I could do.....

Ok guys, I've been busy....if you know me from previous, the mod bug has bitten me badly.
First, got new Vossen wheels today!
Here is the Vossen wheels I got. They are one inch wider at all 4 corners 9.5 inches wide. Forged wheels, the offset is 40 (OEM is 50)....
I even splurged and got the fancy red-trimmed center caps!
They match the spiffy red valve stem caps!
I even found a nice, inexpensive red key fob cover!
Updated family photo.....
They guys at Jay Wolfe Acura in Kansas City loved the red trim on the front grill. I added a little on the side-view mirrors.....

^^^ Yes, absolutely! I was told that RC Racing has coilovers for around $1,000 for a set of 4. I need about 1 inch drop....

Mine were silver colour metal valve caps. Red colour ones will attract even more attention.

HUGE Carbon Fiber updates!
Guys,
Yesterday, I had a LOT of pieces wrapped in Carbon Fiber. You might question me as to why I had things wrapped instead of getting the "real deal". You know what....at this stage of my life, I don't feel like I have to have the real Carbon Fiber. It's expensive, it's cost prohibitive. And I've got a guy in Kansas City who really knows how to wrap! It is a FRACTION of the cost of real stuff. At the end of the day, it looks fantastic and I'm very pleased with the outcome. I hope you like it too......

That's a really nice job! Can you share the total cost of that addition?

Great job. I too agree that a wrap can achieve the same look just like costly carbon fiber parts.

I was just starting to consider going the same direction with my A-Spec plus the roof as well.

Damn I love that color and would take it over the vette. Not sure I like the red striping, but still a sexy car.

Today, I added ceramic coating to the TLX. I also have a roof spoiler that will be wrapped in Carbon Fiber. I also have an aero kit purchased from Ebay that includes a front splitter, side aero fins and rear canards. I'm still trying to decide whether to get the Acura aero kit-it's been looking better to me, as of late.
I have decided to do springs to lower the car instead of coilovers. I understand that Eibach will have some springs available in a month or so....
Stay tuned....

^^^ If I wrapped it, it would be in Carbon Fiber!
By the way, the roof spoiler is in! It will be wrapped in Carbon Fiber and installed next Wednesday. Also ordered the OEM Acura Aero Kit to give the TLX some beefiness.

The transformation continues.....
Yesterday, I added the ACURA aero kit. I'm not totally sold on this aero package, but it does give the TLX a huskier, bulkier stance. The black areas on the aero kit will be wrapped in Carbon next week.

Here are some garage pics....the flooring is called ETEK. It's 4 times stronger than epoxy and comes with a 15 year warranty. The process only took 24 hours to complete versus 5 days for epoxy!

Steve's A-Spec just makes mine look
Love the garage motif. I'm going to be re-designing my garage over the next several months and have been pondering my direction. Will probably wait until I actually pull the trigger on a GT-R before I commit; in the meantime, I'll set a blank canvas.

^^^ Thanks guys...the garage is now a fun place to go! And like I said, I'm waiting for someone to make sports springs (lowering springs) for this new TLX. The car is so new, there's not a lot on the market yet.

Congrats, Steven! I just caught your thread today...
Of course I had to go thru the whole thing, but my first thoughts were
1-Really tough decision.
2-Should have sold her to me instead of the dealer!
3-Ran out of cool mods to do and got the itch for something new...
4-Will CF everything on the TLX...
5-Will I ever have a showroom-clean garage??
Guess we're all on that boat.
So, following just to see what you do next...

Ships in the night, buddy. I had just picked up my ASM w/100K more miles, sold my 08 NBP w/120K in 2 hrs to get it, but would have flipped it in a heartbeat to get my hands on yours at that price.
Looking forward to pics of you having fun with the TLX...

How's this for creativity????
Well, I thought, if the Type S can have badging on the grill, why can't the Aspec???
1. Purchased 2 ASPEC badges on Ebay for $40 total
2. Bought a small "L" bracket at the hardware store
3. Used double-sided tape to secure the "L" track to the back of the ASPEC badge
4. Drilled small hole in the grill (on one of the plastic uprights of the grill)
5. Connected the ASPEC badge to the grill with a wire-tie
6. And here you have it.......

I'd also lose the CF wrap on the kit and spoilers since they cover up the nice gloss black accents, making the car look too "matte". I'd also go up a wheel size since the current tire to wheel ratio seems a bit off, but probably too late for that. That said, I know tastes are subjective, and this is still better than slapping on coffee can exhaust tips and a metal parking bench wing on the trunk
