Did anyone get in on the down pipe presale at IMR?

im interested in probably the catted version of both, im happy with the exhaust sound as is and am not looking for it to gain much volume, also not looking to throw any codes. would be interested in hearing them on the car if any one got in on it.

 

I ordered both the primary and secondary downpipes, however, I didn’t’ get the catted versions. I’m still waiting to get my order but it looks like IMR did receive their first batch based on a post I saw on IG.

 

When I reached out to them about size, they said the downpipe was 3" I'm looking to upsize to 3.5 with a boost actuated cutout so I chose not to order.

 

Although more may seem better, removing a lot of the back pressure may slightly add lag the turbo. A 3” downpipe upgrade would be worth while over stock. Without proper testing, we won’t know the difference in power between a 3” and 3.5” downpipe but it sounds like you’re looking for top end power.

 

Yeah it's a fine line. but I think with the twin scroll quick spool capabilities, it'll be ok. Only one way to find out.
