How are the seats holding up on the 6G TLX?

I am playing the idea of going to back to Acura with the MMC TLX Type S. My main concern is the half suede and half leather seats, I think they do not look good especially in the long run. I really wish they are all leather similar to the 5G TLX which is my last Acura (2018 MMC, all red leather seats).

For the 6G owners out there, how are your seats holding up? Any complaints? Are the suede hard to maintain?

I have a tech package TLX. The seats are leather but with no suede. The drivers side has started to crease a little bit but not bad. I think its in line with normal wear and tear. I also drive about 50 miles a day for work.

My TLX-S has about ~14k miles and the seats are holding up great. I’m not an expert when it comes to leather care, but I would encourage everyone to apply some form of leather care product periodically; otherwise the leather starts getting dry and I believe this leads to premature cracks.

what leather care product do you use if I may ask?

similar to Cali TLX mileage I’m in the mid teens of mileage and my leather is holding up well with minimal creasing. Normal wear and tear though OP you can’t expect the leather to be the same as it was new all of the car’s life though I’m sure that’s not what you’re expecting.

I had a 2019 RDX Aspec that also has the suede section and they looked like new still at 3 yrs. & 3 months with 72K miles.

68k miles on a 21 advance and the seats still look new, although I am a detailing enthusiast. I use Meguiar's D180 leather cleaner & conditioner on a regular basis and D181 leather cleaner for a deep cleaning. Although the steering wheel shows signs of wear, I guess I cleaned too much.

70k miles almost you really been enjoying your TLX

If the steering wheel is showing signs of wear especially on the outer part you can always buy a new “steering wheel grip” which is the outer most part of the steering wheel for $90 on any of the OEM Acura parts website and just have a dealer install it and boom you got a brand new steering wheel with fresh leather.

I might do that once the steering wheel leather starts showing extreme signs of wear

I've had 2 TLX with suede and had no issues. Technically the suede will outlast the leather. . Just FYI

I would have replaced the wheel a while back if I was going to keep it, it's a Honda employee lease. I've ordered a TLX S and it's currently on order.
