Goodbye TLX A-Spec beauty, Hello 2022 RDX PMC Platinum Elite
In a few days I will be trading in my beloved 2021 TLX ASpec for a 2022 RDX ASpec Platinum Elite PMC. I've been thinking of moving to an RDX for my next vehicle as well as buying vs leasing, but that was likely going to be at the end of my lease. however, I dropped into my dealership earlier this week and noticed this stunning Long Beach Blue Pearl with the Orchid/Black interior. After test driving this fully loaded looker, I decided I had to have this. With 3K of equity on my current lease, and a discount on the PMC, I pulled the trigger. This one had been initially purchased a few months before by a gentleman who had also won the right to purchase one in Alberta. He bought both, with the intention of flipping the Winnipeg one for a profit. When that didn't materialize, he sold it back to the dealership and yada yada yada, it will be mine ina few days. It has 1500K on it. I never imagined I could improve on the Apex Blue colour with red and black seats, but I feel like I have
I wil look forward to the new features - HUD, exteriot black accents, surround camera, adjustable bolsters, heated rear seats, rear camera washer, interior lighting package, black pano sunroof, and wireless car play, not to mention the additional functionality of and SUV. I will miss the driving dydnamics of one of the very best looking sedans on the road, but my wife and I will appreciate getting up into our vehicle and having more back seat room for the grandkids.

Congrats! You may want to get some seat protectors for when the grandkids are over. That Orchid interior will get beat up pretty quickly!
How much discount did you get on the RDX?

Congrats on your RDX! I am sure you will miss the TLX but the RDX is more practical and the PMC edition is just extra special. Share your feedback with us and of course share some of the beautiful Long Beach Blue Pearl!

Congrats on the swap! It's one I've considered occasionally too, but I'm concerned I'll miss the general sportiness that comes with the lower center of gravity that a sedan has. Reviews seem to point to the RDX as being a great option for those who may want to drive in a more spirited manner on occasion though.
Please let us know what your initial thoughts are on the overall driving experience is and how it compares to the TLX! Speaking for myself at least, I'm interested in acceleration/handling comparisons, if the extra interior space helps at all (though I know this will depend on the owner and their needs), and just general everyday impressions.

Congrats on the pickup. LBB is awesome.
I'm definitely not an SUV guy. When I get them as rentals (over my objections) I usually hate them. I had an RDX Advance loaner last year, however, that was great. It's the first SUV I've driven that I would consider buying. Handled well with SH-AWD, didn't feel overly "tippy," and had a general performance feel to it in sport mode with the transmission also in sport. I think you'll enjoy your RDX.
