Front Fender vents, why?

Ever notice the difference in the font driver and passenger fender? The driver’s has louvered air vents, and the passenger is solid. Has Honda/Acura given and reason for the difference?

There is something to cool on the driver side I think, so the reason why to have a flow of air there.

The intercooler outlet is on that side and runs in front of the vents.

I’m actually pulling the factory silencer box out of there and letting that be used for extra air to come into the intake. Filtered of course lol
