Driver attention

Driver attention- I saw this while scrolling through with the scroll wheel, but do not see how to change the detail, and it is currently on minimum. I did not see anything about it in the manual at least not under “driver attention“ in the glossary

From https://hondanews.com/en-US/releases...%20the%20wheel.

"The 2021 TLX also includes a new Driver Awareness Monitor, which continually monitors and assesses driver behavior behind the wheel. Using input from the steering angle sensor to measure both the frequency and severity of the driver's steering inputs to gauge awareness, the system issues a warning to take a break if it determines the driver is becoming inattentive."

In my Benz, I have a more advanced form where the car will steer you back in the lane.

All TLX models have had lane keep assist since 2015.

My Mustang Prem. version has it too! LOL. But, I keep it turned off. I guess my Ford Mustang is as good as a Benz!! LOL!! Probably will hold up better, and certainly cost less to maintain.

I should have clarified my statement. According to the Honda link, Driver Awareness Monitor is new to the TLX. I was stating that my Benz has had the same but also goes another level by taking over the car partially when it has determined the driver is incapacitated or unwilling to resume steering.

LKA doesn't use any judgment heuristics but simply tracks the lines on the ground to see if the car is still b/w the lines. Driver Awareness Monitor or (Attention Assist in the Benz) actively tracks what the driver's been doing the last couple of minutes to determine if the driver is still "active."

How does the Mustang version work. I also keep mine in a notation mode, tells me how long I have been driving & where the next place is I can take a break. I also shut down the nanny portions of the software except for frontal obstruction stopping.

I don't use hardly any of the nanny systems due to the way I use my Mustang. It's a garage queen that gets driven in good weather only, and
not on any long drives where I "might" want to use some of them. But, my model has ALL the nanny aids. The radar system will watch the white
lines and you can set it up to do 2 main things. IF you are wandering and you are set up in the "Alert Mode" it will vibrate the steering wheel. And in
that function you can set the vibration to 1 of 3 levels of vibration. Or you can set it up to be in the "Aid Mode" where it will gently steer the car back in
to it's lane if you are drifting over too far. Amazing for a Mustang huh?? LOL!! When I first got it and the system was on and I didn't know it....I got the
steering wheel vibration and the wheel started turning back toward the center of the road when I did drift over the right side white line, but, I was in control,
and we all drift a little at times. I was shocked that my car had those. It has more "stuff" than I truly know about, or if I do I don't use.
It also has a mode that monitors your driving behavior using radar sensing and cameras. If the system detects that our driving alertness is reduced below a
certain threshold, the system will alert you using a tone and a message in the information display.

Of course all of the systems can be turned off. I keep "blind spot warning" on, parking sensing, cross traffic alerts...those kind of things.
Again, based on how I use this car is what determines exactly what nanny aids I would decide to use. Cross country driving, I would certainly
use more than what I do now. My Mustang was not bought for that kind of driving. Just local get out and have fun, listen to the deep V8 growl,
and maybe an occasional "street drag race"...did I say that....LOL....normally very short and never in traffic. I get challenged almost every time I take
it out. Silly guys. Honestly, most of the time I just let them go and make them think their truck is "all that." LOL!

Yeah to a lot. I run the blind spot but have lane assist off did not like the vibrations if I changed lanes without a blinker. Kept the frontal impact radar on along with the front, side & rear radar distance to object thing. Close off or reduce a few of the traction & stability modes.

My 2250lb No nannies car has no nannies also has no PS, PB, A/C, AT or Roof.

It is alleged you can hear the rumble. Hard to tell when you set off car alarms.

This doesn't surprise me. This is a cheap way to test semi-autonomous driving and it seems many car makers are headed that way.
