Does the MID show elapsed time?

I drove an RDX as a loaner for a week, and the MID was fairly useless. Most irritating is that it did not have an elapsed time feature for the trip. Nor did it have a digital speed display (unless you have the HUD option).

Scanning through the 2021 TLX owner's manual, it looks like the there is no elapsed time feature. Does that bother anyone else?

I have it on a few of my other cars but I've never found a use for it. The only place I've found a use for this is on a Cessna to track TBOH. What's the use case in a car for which this information would be useful?

I use the one in my TSX often. It was interesting to see how long different routes took to/from work, the same route at different times of the day... Yes, I could keep track of the time manually some other way but it's nice to not have to.

I noticed the same thing when I had a new RDX loaner.

On my TLX I have Trip A reset time and mileage on each fill up, and Trip B reset time and mileage on each start up. I have the MID on Timer B almost all the time and will miss that if I end up with another TLX.

wow! I didn’t know that. I can’t imagine Acura missed or removed this feature! I think the most important feature on the MID isn’t available.
