Does anyone have a creaking noise coming from the front? I can put my hand on the steering rack and feel it while the steering wheel is being turned side to side. Does not do it when cold. The car has to be driven for a few miles ( full operating temp).
I’ll be dropping the car off to be looked at when I can fit it into my schedule, but was curious if anyone else has this issue. Car has 1,200 miles.

If you are on the facebook forum there is a video of someone demonstrating your symptoms
I don't know how closely related the RDX suspension components are with the TLX, but there's been a TSB for lower control arms on the 3G RDX making all sorts of noise. I wonder if they share the same part. I would have thought Acura would have sorted it out prior to the TLX launch, but they're having the same brake squeal issue with the TLX as with the RDX, so it's not out of the question that they may just be throwing on parts that have a good chance at being defective (if they're even the same part).
Who knows though, maybe you just got a bunk tie rod end out of the parts batch.

Our 2014-MDX needed a firmware upgrade to fix similar problem. However, that vehicle had one of the first Acura/Honda electronic-steering systems. There was a TSB generated. I wonder if it's the steering-system or something with the new DWB suspension?

Sorry for reviving this, but did you every get a fix for this? Mine is doing the same thing now after only 400 miles. Can’t hear a thing with the radio on but I’d rather not have it
Is it creaking or more of a cracking/ticking noise? My RDX A-Spec steering wheel does this. I just learned to live with it, along with a number of other interior rattles and noises.
I would describe it as a subtle ticking only when turning. I can’t seem to find the actual spot where it’s occurring and if the radio is on even at low volumes, I can’t hear it

I have started to hear exactly this - but only when the tunes aren't playing, which, for me, is seldom. I have the ELS 3D system and I use it! It sounds like knuckles softly cracking. Seems like it's a learn to live with it issue.
Does it make a difference if the IDS is in Normal, Comfort, or Sport? The IDS is supposed to impact the steering feel.
I notice it in comfort mode, as my tunes are sometimes off as I am turning into the garage and I usually operate in comfort mode when on final approach to spacedock.
I too have discovered the creaking noise after the vehicle warms. It makes the creaking noise in all 3 modes. Has anyone taken their car to the dealer for a fix? If so, what was it? (Will be scheduling a service soon....)
I noticed mine is doing it also. I plan on waiting until I take it in for the first scheduled service. Mine seems to come and go and have not quite figured out what triggers it.
Yes, I have heard this same creaking noise. I have a 2021 TLX with 3500+ mi. When I originally took the vehicle in for service, they thought it was the steering wheel. They removed it, cut the trim around the column, put some felt tape on it and said it was fixed. I took it back the next Monday and asked the tech mgr to drive with me in the car. He heard it at very low speeds when he was driving it. The car has been with the Acura dealer for 2 weeks. They said it was the steering rack and that they are on b/o until September. I need to pick my vehicle up and drive it until the part comes in. I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER.

I hear the creaking noise more when it's in Comfort Mode.
Yes, I have this creaking noise and they've said it's the steering rack and will need to be replaced. The part is on backorder until September. The Acura dealer has had my 2021 TLX for 2 weeks.
Looks like there is a consensus....came across this information when I googled TLX steering creeking....."Repairs: 1. Left and right outer tie rod ends replaced - did not fix the problem
2. 5131C0 Steering gearbox, electric power steering - replaced
"2854 EPS rack making creaking noise internally 5131C0/042 3.2. Performed the noise concern diagnosis with the (marksman 2) to pinpoint the noise concern as per techline recommendations and found the noise is coming from inside the electronic power steering rack. Also recorded the noise and sent it to techline specialist via email. (Leon Imholte Ref# 4411054). Removed and replaced the power steering rack assembly"
That’s good to know. The tech Mgr mentioned the technicians are all lined in an Acura forum and that’s how they based their decision to replace true steering rack, bc it has been happening with the 2021’s, but there is no recall for it.
Thank you for the information, I’ll be sure to share it when I pick the car up today.
I believe I have this same issue with my A-spec with 3,500 miles. I took a video of the noise I'm experiencing at low speeds, typically after the car has been driven. Is this what everyone else is experiencing?
I too have this issue. The loaner I drove had this issue as well. It's happening to every new 2021 TLX. Even if dealer replace the steering rack assembly I think the issue might come back since they are not touching the underlying cause of the issue. This just needs a recall.
I read the title wrong. RDXs have had similar issues with bad control arm bushings. I wouldn't be surprised if this issue carried over to the TLX. Yes, different suspension geometry, but I bet they use the same supplier for all their bushings.

Just an update, brought the car to the dealer and they concluded it was the steering rack. They ordered it, but as reported by others, it's on backorder.
Finally got around to scheduling a service for the creaking noise. After 2 days at the dealership, it was determined that the power steering rack assembly needs to be replaced. Parts had to be ordered and with the supply chain the way it is, it may be several weeks for the parts to arrive (conservative figure according to the Service Advisor). Service Advisor stated that this was the 1st time he had heard of this issue. (Hard to believe as this is a dealership in the Baltimore, MD area.) I did print out a word document showing what others were experiencing on the Acura Forums and he did state that it was helpful in determining the root cause. As a side note, I got a 2021 RDX Tech as a loaner and I have to tell you I was disappointed in the ride and comfort quality as compared to my TLX. My wife drives a 17 RDX (Tech) and the ride quality of the 21 RDX pales in comparison to the 17 my wife drives. Hope that this is helpful to others experiencing the creaking issue........stay tuned.
I test drove a new Type S at the dealer about a week ago. When idling and jogging the steering wheel, I heard the steering creak. The sales guy also heard it. I heard it in Sport and Comfort but then it also went away after more driving.
I've got an appointment this morning to have my car looked at, so I'll report back. The steering wheel creak/clicking has actually gotten better since I got the car, but the noise is still there. I'm concerned the techs won't hear it or the other noises of concern, hah.

I have the issue with my 22 MDX. Dropped it off with my dealer this morning. Dealer left a message that the issue was confirmed and fixed. Will report back tomorrow as to what was done to remedy this. (May put this off until Monday as I’m enjoying the RDX A-Spec loaner. )
Loose tie rod end lock nut? I honestly hope that's not the cause for everyone that's having this issue. I have replaced dozens of tie rods in many of my past Acura and Honda cars and to think they're loose from the factory is mind-boggling. These tie rods are not the ones from the 90s where ball joint is bigger than the opening so even if there's play in it, it can't come out. These fall right out if not 100% tight and no play; and there goes your entire wheel assembly out.
