Acura TLX and baby stuff?

We will have another vehicle but curious for owners how does a baby seat fit in the 2021+ Acura tlx?

can a stroller fit in the trunk?

thank you!

If it’s front facing, you’re fine. If it’s rear facing, you’ve got a dilemma; putting the car seat on the outboard seats will require the front seats to be moved up quite a bit. If you put it in the middle, it’ll fit in between the two front seats, but due to the inexplicably raised seat bottom and low roofline in the middle seat you might find it particularly challenging to actually load a baby into the car seat.

like fiatlux said, front facing is no problem and is actually quite good as the width of the car allows enough shoulder room for 2 occupants with the car seat in place.
Rear facing car seats will require either the middle seat used (but a somewhat challenging low roof), or outboard seats (but moving the front seat up). A solution for the latter to get an angle adjuster accessory that some car seats have to make it a little more upright and the front seats don't have to be moved..

If you use the seatbelt buckle instead of the anchors, consider getting a seatbelt extender. The rear seat buckles are a bit short and make it difficult to buckle my 6 y/o in with his booster seat. I eventually got the extender now he can reach around and buckle himself with no issues.

I ran into this exact issue 2 weeks ago when putting my 2 front facers in. My 3 year old seat uses the anchors and the seats 5 point and everything is perfect. As for my 6 year old who uses the cars seat belt, the seat naturally wanted cover up the buckle because it is so low making it impossible to buckle in once she got in and tried to get to it. I did some quick googling and found a lot of people use the extenders. So I searched around on amazon and bought one that is literally a receiver buckle with the male tab sticking out the bottom, link below, and it works perfectly. It raised the buckle up about 3" and since there was no extension strap involved, it's always pointing up and easy to get to. It also sets up proud the the vehicle seat and keeps the car seat from sliding past it.

Typical stroller is fine in trunk. I have a rear facing seat and the passenger will lose about 3 inches of room, and will sit on a much less comfortable lean back.

Have you looked into a 360 swill car seat? Placing that in the middle or side makes sense because it makes loading and egress easier and when not in use you can spin it to free legroom for front passenger seat.

Very good solution. I made a mistake of buying an extra wide booster seat just because it is equipped with anchors. The seat works good on the MDX, But on the smaller seated TLX, the booster seat always slides over and covers up the seat buckle. Even I have a hard time trying to buckle up her seat belt, let alone my kid.

Now buckling up on the booster seat is a breeze.

I should have mentioned, I'm not a tall guy. I'm 5'-10" on a good day and my old man lean back position still leaves my 3yr with plenty of room. May need to adjust as she gets bigger but they are in my car about 5% of the time compared to my wife's car being the primary family hauler. My wife is 5'-7" so she has her seat moved forward about 2" and my 6yr has lots of room. FFIW, in my most comfortable, stretched out seating position I sat in the rear seat and have 3"+ clear from my knees to the seat back. That was a major deal for me. My 07 TLS had my knees on the seat back.
