My wish list would be 360 camera, HUD, digital cockpit and liquid carbon metallic paint from the MDX.

I have that paint on my 22 MDX but I’m not in love with it. (My dealer stated that it’s their most popular color, which baffles me.) I’ll probably return to black on my next go around.

If if had both 360 camera and HUD I might reconsider.

I can see the Type S with all the Advanced features in a couple years.

Ageed, I can see them correcting that omission with the MMC version. It's unfortunate that we're likely not going to see any performance upgrades during this generation.

The engine probably has more headroom, but my guess is that the limiting factor is still the drivetrain given how eerily flat the torque curve is on the car. Unfortunately that means there'd probably be some expensive hardware changes before they can up the power .

I suspect we'll, unofficially, find out how well the drivertrain handles more power soon enough

I hope that Phearable stage 3 doesnt make me an early candidate, seeing as I dont have the 'beefed up' version of the 10AT.

The cylinder head does not look promising for inexpensive power. Very small ports looking at the picture. Might be deliberate to prevent overpowering the drive train. Nothing a CNC program can't handle if there is enough meat to shave off. But not cheap.

10AT is probably OK, since the Accord folks have been able to make big power on it without blowing anything up. It's the SH-AWD system I think that's the bottleneck, considering Honda didn't have to pull power on the Accord in lower gears but did for the RDX/TLX that have SH-AWD...

I suspect the small exhaust ports are to get the gas velocity up to spin the turbo faster to minimize lag. I think they are protecting the SH-AWD with software. I remember reading somewhere where Acura was bagging about power, but threw in a caveat about all the power while also maintaining reliability.

Yeah, a couple of years when they do the mid model facelift. 360 Camera and HUD are a no-brainer and no development required. The cameras are on the Canadian version and the TLX offers the HUD.
More engine power is unlikely in this version of the car. The engine is brand new, so new cylinder heads and other changes are a big deal. Engineering, testing, EPA certifications, etc. etc.

Agree, Its just like the venturi's in a carburetor sized to the engine to keep velocity up. And just like a 650CFM will pass less air than an 850CFM small ports will pass less boosted air than larger ports. The have small ports running 15.1PSI with no top end now, where are they going to go with these heads? The 3L S58 is putting down a lot more power with slightly more boost & the B58 is more powerful with slightly less boost.

FYI: I initiated an order today for an N63TU3 wrapped in a G30. Since it's an Individual Manufaktur order I probably won't see it until the beginning of next year.

They've succeeded in sending me to BMW to purchase a car that the Base and Type-S TLX are only pretending to be. For me, the TLX is too slow, too big, and too heavy. Its major positive features are appearance (the sheet metal is writing checks that the car can't cash) and the SH-AWD. The car does handle well for such a big Bertha, but even in the base TLX, one is always aware of its weight.

How much did you get for your TLX Tech in nearly half a year of ownership?
