265's on TLX Type S

Has anyone gone with the slightly wider 265/35-20 on their TLX Type S on the standard wheels (lightweight ones I think are the same width)? I don't need new tires but I hate how new cars come with tires that are just barely wider that the wheels so that if you just barely graze a curb, you have zero buffer without scratching. I have sized up with every car from years because of this. I haven't been under the car to see if there are any super tight clearances that would prevent this so I thought I would ask.

If you are running the performance wheel which is 20x9 at offset 50. So for square set up you can run 265/35ZR20. Ideal width is between 9.0 to 10.5.
You should be flush against the fender well.

I am running the standard wheel since I wanted all season tires and the dealership would not swap the summer tires on the performance wheels with all seasons. I didn't think it would be an issue but I thought I would check. My prior vehicle, and ecoboost ford flex, was lowered (because love wagons) and with OEM tires there was like 1/2" from the rear inside sidewall and the strut. I sized up on it and it was a good 1/4" clear when all said and done. I didn't carve corners in it so I was good with that.
