RS-R Coilovers
Spoke to the guys over at rs-r today and the coilovers are in for the tlx. They said they will update there website site today. I never dealt with rsr but what do u think about it as far as ride quality?

We installed a set of RS-R coilovers on a Mazda a few weeks ago. Everything went well and they were a very quality set of coilovers for the price. Right on par with TEIN. Ride quailty wise, I think they're pretty sporty without sacrificing ride quality.
We just got their lowering springs up on our website.

I'd compare them more to the Street Flex in terms of having full adjustability and being a complete unit with upper mounts. I'm fairly certain they are also made in Japan. The RS-R coilovers also have a range of damping adjustment usually 36 steps. $1,899 is pretty standard for most of their units.

Yes we have these coilovers available at great sale pricing! Shoot me a PM for details. They aren't up on the RSR website yet but we have access to them.

Fortunately, I have not hit any potholes so I'm not sure.
Here's a preview of the wheels. Car is dirty because it rained today in SoCal.
Advan RS 2 18x8 +45 with Continental DW 245/45/18. It's not aggressive as I do not want to worry about clearance issues (been there done that w/ my previous cars). I'll be getting center caps tomorrow.

I believe it has 35 "clicks" from full soft to full hard. At my current setting it rides over bumps very well, it almost feels like stock but you can definitely feel its tightness because it is stiffer. I'm quite impressed with the ride quality of these coil overs. I'll play around the dampers and see which setting I like the best.

Thanks and yes I agree but since we got no camber kit available yet I don't want o buy tires every couple of months. This car gets driven 80 miles a day to/from work.

A little negative camber isn't going to chew up tires as much as having the toe-in or out will. Did you get an alignment after the install?

FWIW,A bit of negative camber actually helps handling, which is why you see a lot of BMW's and other cars with negative rear wheel camber.

I didn't say it wouldn't but it's not a huge factor. I have 3K miles on my lowering springs with about a -2 camber and the tires looked fine when I had them rotated. YMMV
