new struts, alignment needed?
Just got replaced 2 front struts. Driving is the same. Do I need an alignment or I am ok without one. Tires is at 48k miles, planning to get alignment after new tires, but doesn't seem I need it anytime soon. TIA

Null and proud of it
I guess you don't "have to" but it's probably a really good idea.
If you don't, at the first hint of odd driving characteristics or uneven tire wear, have an alignment done ASAP.
But most guys here will tell you to align it right now anyway, which is what I would do if I were you.

Why on earth did you have your two front struts replaced on such a new car?

I did looked at my tire, it seem to wear down is normally for the past 600 miles since the replacement. I did not see any uneven side. I figured my tires probably got at most a 6-8 months left, I just let it be hahaha. I will go get it check and alignment then lol.
as far as why I got it replaced, I have problem with vibration, rattling noises during idle while in gear. They never figure out what is the problem and blame it on my fuse holder hitting against the firewall (not sure how this is even possible). Next apt, they re torque the front strut, said there is a factory error on this, which is why it causing clunking rattle noises. That did not help one bit. Several more attempts, they replaced my front engine mount, still no fix. I got a new noise, clunking noise when hit the gas pedal at low speed. They said they've found the front struts are bad, so they replaced it... Still No fix. I still hear it, so they finally got tired of my face and replaced the tranny mount, which fixed the damn problem I been complained for the past 1.8 years. They still couldn't raise my idle RPM up a bit, it is below ~700 so my car vibrate like crazy. I guess I'm stuck with that.
so with my 2.5 years owning the car, I got 2 new front struts, front and tranny mounts, LKAS/rain sensor replaced. LKAS still being weird, and forget about the rain sensing. That tech is a joke. Showed them what the wiper did, all they did is laugh and said that's normal. No more bumper to bumper warranty, I hope nothing else will need to look at =/
