New Set Up Issue!!!

So I've had my 2015 TLX for about a year and a half now. Took my time modding her and I just finished my vision for her; by ordering wheels and susupension, but now I'm having an issue with the front suspension. Looks great, but the front makes a "clunking" noise on bumps and bumpy roads. I have Megan Street Coilovers installed and I've tried everything to get the noise to stop. I was wondering if anyone had or has this issue and what did you do to correct it. Megan will not refund me for their product, so I'm stuck. Please help

How bad is it? Is it only on bumpy roads? I mean megan is probably on the less expensive side, so it definitely wont be as good as RSR. But damn your car looks nice though

Thank you!!! I was going to go for the RSRs, but I was recommended the Megan for the price and that they had no problem with them installed on TLXs.

hmm I had a similar issue once. Ended up being an improperly torqued bolt that eventually had the threading worn, so replaced bolt and clunk was gone. Hopefully it's something simple like that.

I have the RSR's and the rear coilovers seem to rattle a bit on bumpy roads. I've double checked and everything is bolted down tight. Was told it happens with any coilover installation.. Not sure..

Crazy!!! My rears are perfect; just having that bottoming out sound on bumps on the roads with the front coils. Megan is shipping me out new ones. I've spoken to others with them and they have no issues!!! We checked and double checked installation and tighten everything up.

I had the Megan EZ Streets on my TSX for about 3.5 months and was not happy with the ride. I keep a journal on my cars to kind of keep track of what all I did and when etc. Here are my notes from fall of 2014. "These Megans are fine for 80% of the roads but just don’t cut it for all day driving comfort. There is a lot less travel so the car seems to bottom out quicker. There is also a little bounciness in the front still."
I sold mine and went back to springs with stock struts and for me its a nice blend of lowering while keeping it comfortable.

Side note these were the only coil overs I have ever bought so can not compare to the higher end options that are out there.

By the way love your set up. It looks really good.

Some springs have a rubber guard on them to prevent spring on spring contact noise, which often makes a clunking noise.

Could just be something as simple as that! The car looks good by the way!

Told Acura about this when I make turns and such I would hear a noise, they said there is a bulletin for a improperly torqued bolt, They just torque it correctly or replaced it and do it correctly.
