I have the Non-AWD V6 and yesterday about 1/2 of the dash lights came on, I had no reverse and high gears. I took the car to the dealership (@ 60mph/4000rpm) and they said it may be the TCM or a whole new transmission.


I wondered if anyone could advise me on how to handle this? Will a new transmission fix the 2-3 gear issue or is there anything in particular I should say to steer myself towards the best outcome? Also, has anyone heard of this happening? The dealership says they don't sell many V6s so don't have much experience with the hard shift.

IMO, let them change the transmission since it needs to be done anyway and go from there.
