Hi everyone. I have a 2017 TLX tech. When I was driving earlier today, my speakers started making a staticky noise and so I parked, turned the car off and turned it back on. My speakers were completely silent. I tried to turn up the volume and it stayed at 01. Tried turning it down with no luck. I unplugged the battery for 30 minutes, plugged back in, same situation. Also tried checking amp connection, checked fuses and everything was fine. Any ideas what it could be before I go to the dealer? Maybe I'm missing something? I'm attaching a video to show what its doing right now.

 

My first guess by your video would be an amplifier issue. Time for a dealer visit.

 

So I did a diagnostic test and it showed the amp was dead. Replaced it myself and audio is working again. Not sure how but it somehow shorted itself

 

Just curious: was this the factory amp? If yes, isn't it covered under warranty?
