Rattle coming from driver side rear door
Rattle coming from driver side rear door
When I go over a small bump in the road I hear a rattle coming from the rear driver side passenger door. I can't seem to pinpoint its origin because I don't see anything loose on the outside, so it must be on the inside. I asked my dealer to check it out and they gave me the standard "can't reproduce" line, makes me wonder if they even took it for test on the road
My car is three months old now and I don't think there were any rattles when I first got it. It probably started about a month ago. I wonder if the warm temperatures caused something to get loose.
Any one else experience odd rattles or sounds?

Hard to say, but the inside panel usually comes off pretty easily. The harder part is the plastic liner that Honda/Acura seems to use between the body of the door and the door panel. To get inside where ever that thing is, you have to get through this. It is usually glued in place with a thick caulk like material. Since the car is new you can probably pull that off and re-attach it. If you are going to take the door panel off make sure you use a decent tool to pop the fasteners out and don't ding up the panel.
Finally discovered where the rattle was coming from, it was a single loose bolt on the side spoiler, right under the rear door. Took forever to locate!
Given the other issue I had with the spoiler fitment, I'm not very happy with the accessory installation by the dealer
