mixed oil brand?

I can't seem to figure out how to search properly on this forum =(
Is it okay to mixed different brand of oil with the same grade? I asked because I have a few of those 5qt single bottle Mobile 1 and bunch of kirkland 1qt bottles I previous bought from a sale. In the past, I used kirkland oil. My car burned about 1qt around 50% of the oil life or ~2500 miles, so I filled up 1qt until the next oil change. Now I've switched to Mobile 1 brand, and will need to fill up when I hit that 2500 miles, would it be safe to use Kirkland to fill up or no? Google gave me mixed results as some would said even though the oil is from the same grade, with the API seal, but different manufacture have different additive added and it might ruin the engine. If so, then i'll just buy mobile 1 1qt bottle to fill up then.

Thanks all.

Pair of TLs, what you mean by using a lot of oil? Do you mean the car burned lot of oil? if so, yes. The car started to burned about 1qt of oil every 5000ish miles ever since I passed 70k on the odometer lol. I guess that is still way better than my previous 13' Accord, where my dipstick is dry at around 4k lol.
