I was curious if anyone knows if you can replace the large, heavy fob used with the remote start to the normal non-remote start version? I really don’t care about that feature and the fob is huge and heavy. My wife’s 2017 TLX doesn’t have remote start and the key fob is much lighter. Thanks

When I purchased my 2015 SH-AWD Tech is added on the remote start, which is think is just a key fob. Change. When I picked it up, I asked for the original fobs also, so I have 4.they all work on the car.

So yes, you should be able to get a replacement standard fob and have it programmed.
