Headlight Washers

I noticed recently that my headlight washers only seem to work on an intermittent basis. I now think I know why and should have figured this out earlier but I though I would share. Apparently, they will only work when the headlights are on. So if I have the lights set to auto and the daytime running lights only are on, then the headlight washers will not work. Has anyone else noticed this behaviour?

I don't have a TLX, but why would you want your headlight washers to work if you weren't using your headlights??

Nice find. I have never used them intentionally, so did not know the limitation.

In Canada we have daytime running lights so if it has been a dirty day and I aim traveling on a two lane highway I might want to clean the lights to ensure visibility to oncoming traffic.

if you have a snowy, slushy winter day or if you are driving on a muddy road you may want to clean them so they are clear when it gets dark. I noted similar behaviour and now understand why they may not spray in the day time.
