Hey guys, so today I modded my Acura TLX 2018 with a Takeda intake. The install went smoothly I drove around the block and it was perfect. But once I decided to go on a 2nd drive my check engine light came on as well as my electronic parking brake came on. I was wondering if anyone has had the same problems and have any solutions. I even tried unplugging the battery then plugging it back in and although I knew it was a temporary fix the lights went away for about 15 min lol.

 

The electronic parking brake is a uniform issue. My understanding is that it needs adjusted roughly every tire rotation. Also in my experience it hasn't failed to engage or disengage when this warning is displayed, but I personally avoid using it unless parking on a incline.
As for your emissions, my guess is that the car is returning values outside of factory acceptable limits because you are getting more air. Don't quote me on this, but from my research EVERY single modification like this will require a computer tune of some type.
