Does the 2016 TLX have a faster software than 2015?

So my car is at the dealership for service and I was given a 2016 TLX loaner. I noticed the software on this car is noticeability faster than my 2015 TLX. From navigation settings to just scrolling through the menus, everything seems more smooth. I'm just curious if that's new with the 2016 or is there something wrong with my 2015.

How does the 2016 drive compared to the 2015? response time shifting. I think the software and maps are different.

My 2016's infotainment software sure isn't fast, lol. But it was slightly better than the 2015 that I test drove prior to purchase.

The throttle response is absolutely different (better) though.

That's exactly why I'm leaving acura after this car, a lot of cars have way better throttle response than mine and the dealer says this is normal. Every TLX v6 i drove operates different.

Yeah the different throttle response is because when the car is new the computer "learns" your driving habits and uses that on how the car is driven. Kinda interesting. Also Sport mode gives you a hair better throttle response

Sport mode gives much better throttle respond. In some ways the throttle is too sensitive in Sport mode for me. But I just finished a full tank of gas in Sport mode and the car got identical fuel economy as Normal mode. This was from direct measurement, not the car computer. So if anyone wants to drive in Sport mode all the time it doesn't seem to affect your FE. At least in my daily commute.

...I agree what people talk about when they raise the throttle response. My TL, I would put it in manual mode and just pressing the pedal would make the car surge, just so ready to accelerate, as with the 2014 ILX with 150hp that the g/f drives....the TLX I drove, I would press the pedal and a good second later, you could feel the car gradually accelerate.

I haven't tried the 2016 but the 2015 just killed it for me

Not true for me. It depends on one driving pattern.
