Battery issue
Hi all, I noticed my battery's negative terminal has corrosion all over. From what I know, the battery is under charge. I plugged in my 1a/12v charger, and left it on for good 4-5 hours. Few days later I noticed my battery cap has some fluid leaking out. I google this and found out it overcharged? How do I correct this issue with my terminal corrosion and acid leaking?

Is your charger a smart charger? The TLX uses AGM battery and it can be damaged by using the wrong type of charger.

Mine is a 4cyl so I got the regular battery, not AGM . I bought the Noco Genius 1, something small and compact. I believe it switch to trickle charging once battery is full.

clean the terminals off with solution of baking soda and clean off excess acid carefully and see if it is leaking. When the battery charges, sometimes the acid can boil inside and create pressure so it leaks out.

Thanks csmeance. The leak makes sense so I'll wont leave the charger on for too long or too often. As far as the terminal, I did cleaned the terminal but it came back again. I do have a capacitor for my amp. Wonder if that thing is draining the battery overnight....
