Hey all just go this TLX and may first Acura. Love the car but sometimes it's a bit strange..lol

interior lighting...I am very sure that since I got this car, that at night when I open the door to get in ....the dash and all the words on the front part,, the blue accent light by moon roof and accent on door handle all turn on....very cool and very slick.
BUT...the other day I got in and nothing was on but the odometer area was lit. What the heck ...am I losing it?

any help to get it back on ?

the only thing I could find that controls the interior lights was the overhead switch.

Interior Lights
Light control is located on the ceiling.
ON position: Interior lights remain on.
Door-activated position: Interior lights come on when any of the doors are opened, the driver’s door is unlocked, or the vehicle is turned off.
OFF position: Interior lights remain off.

but not sure that is your problem.

 

headlights need to be on for the other ambient lighting to come on! If the headlamps are off only the gauges shine as you described
