I did a quick search and seems like nobody has done this mod. Has anyone put two piece brake rotors on these cars?
Anyone weigh the stock rotors? Are the front and rear the same size? Appreciate the help.

 

For street applications there really is no benefit for using a two-piece rotor, and given the TLX is pretty much worthless on the track, I cannot see any reason why anybody would bother trying this.

Regarding front versus rear rotors, I cannot think of a car other than maybe a Porsche 911 (and its descendants) with brake rotors of roughly the same weight being on the front and rear; said another way, the front rotors are always heavier. For the TLX the rotor weights are as follows:

• Front: 19.3 pounds
• Rear: 10.8 pounds

Edit: nope, not even the rear engined 911 has rotors of the same weight, the fronts are 18.0 pounds and the rears are 16.5 pounds.

 

stocks weight around 19lbs each, front and rear are different sizes. You can contact a few companies about custom ones but it'll be some serious $$$.

 

You can try StopTech as they have floating 2 piece rotors. But ya, it is a waste of money unless you do a whole BBK set up.
