TLX v6 FWD exhaust

17’ TLX v6 FWD
so, being on a bit of a budget I started modifying my exhaust and I just stumbled into one of the best sounding exhaust setups IMO on the TLX.
i haven’t heard and XLR8 or Circuit Werks in person but I think it kind of resembles a GTR honestly :gheylaugh:

started off with rear muffler delete and exposed tips.... wasn’t happy with it as it sounded stock.

then deleted the mid muffler and it sounded really good but had some drone issues around 2k rpm.

I just added K-Tuner and their TLX basemap along with a 13-17 Honda ACCORD v6 J-pipe off brand off of EBay.... not knowing if it would actually fit, turns out it fits perfectly, no modifications just bolts directly in.

as of now I have an
-AEM CAI
-P2R TBS
-mid/rear muffler deletes
-cheap off brand J-Pipe
-K-Tuner v2 running K-Tuner’s TLX Basemap.

*Appearance Mods*
-RSR Springs
-Aodhan LS002 19x8.5
-wrapped trim/gloss black roof
-front lip/side skirts
-Black OEM spoiler

and I am Inlove...

I don’t have a good video from outside yet but if anyone wants to hear it I’ll get one

There’s the videos. Not sure why it wouldn’t let me do them in the original post

Nice sound gives me good insight cause i want to make my TLX V6 sound louder however not too loud and I though just doing muffler deletes would do the trick but idk maybe I should jpipe too lol. I’ll get muffler deletes first and see how that sounds.

Drone

I had BAD drone around 2k-2500rpm
my wife refused to ride in my car lol and my son (1year old) probably didn’t care too much for it either. I pulled the bottom of the back seat out and lined it all with 18sq. Ft of sound deadening (Noico on Amazon is good stuff, and CHEAP!)
that helped quite a bit but then I did the J-Pipe and it took away about 80% of the drone.
(got way louder and reduced drone, weird lol)

Can I get the link for the J Pipe? Also did you feel any difference with the power?

Looks awesome. Did Ktuner give you a performance increase at all, or did you just use it to optimize the sound?
