Traffic display info lost

I thought I'd ask the forum since I got nowhere calling the AcuraLink phone number. Does traffic info require a paid subscription, or is it available for everyone? I don't remember and was never notified of subscriptions expiring with any choice for action, I just know it stopped suddenly one day last month.

Unfortunately, I can't even log into the AcuraLink website to verify, it keeps asking for me to register my VIN which I have. The website is very poor and calling Acura is even more useless. The first rep I talked to had no clue and routed me to a second rep, who then after asking for my information, told me to visit a dealer. This was my first time ever calling Acura and it was frustrating ten minutes.

Mine was gone when this morning then popped up again after a while. Maybe their system was down for a bit?

Acuralink traffic should be free for the first 3 years.

Mine has been erratic in the mornings for the past 3 weeks. Sometimes won't display until 30 minutes later. Tried to "refesh" the screen by hiding traffic, that usually doesn't work either.

One year is what I thought, but do you know how to renew or get it back? I was not sent anything via e-mail or snail mail. When I called Acura, the rep had no clue what I was even talking about--thought my car had a malfunction and suggested I take it to the dealer.

No idea as I did not renew, but I suspect you can do it with your dealer. t I have never come across another vendor who makes it so hard to purchase their product, and do not even sent out an expiry notice or an offer for renewal. It is like they really do not want to sell this feature.

I'm pretty sure the subscription is 3 years in the U.S., since that's the *only* subscription we get. Canadians get 1 year, but they get the full subscription, including AcuraLink with Concierge service.

Of course, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Have you tried pressing the in-car button and asking? The US Website says 3 years on the Standard package in the US includes Traffic. Since you can subscribe via the button that may get your answer about your package.
