Recording CD to Hardrive question....

Hey Guys,

So i've been in my TLX for about 4 days, and so far i love it, but there is one thing i'm disapointed about, and i'm hoping it's just some sort of setting.

I listen to alot of mix cd's, dj mixes, each track blends into the next track with no dead space in between. In the 4G TL, ever CD that i recorded onto the hard drive worked perfectly. The playback was just like the original CD, no dead space between tracks.

On the TLX however, the CD's i've recorded to the harddrive, record with a 1 second dead space between each track, which makes the mix CD sound choppy....

Has anyone else experience this with their mix cd's to hard disk? Is there a setting i'm missing or something?

So far I have only recorded store bought CDs and have had no issue. I guess you are recording non-store bought CDs? Or CDs you made yourself?

I wonder if your music plays that way if you used USB as well? (i.e. putting your mix CD on MP3s on USB.)

I have noticed this with CDs that have no gap between tracks - like live ones, and some Moody Blues albums - the recording process adds a short gap. No biggie for me...must be in the coding of the original CDs for direct track access. Probably then enables shuffling of tracks, songs to be played alphabetically etc.
