Has anyone updated their gracenote for the radio yet? I think they update quarterly, download off your computer and hook up to the car. I haven't tried it yet, just wondering if anyone has updated and how did go?

 

I have done this a few times. Not much user, though, for my music tastes. I find that my best bet is to rip a CD to my PC then burn it with CD text enabled. Otherwise all I get "unknown..."

Here is the link. Once you download the file I extract it to a USB thumb drive instead of a CD. Then just follow the directions on the web site. They just posted the latest update. I downloaded but have not installed yet.

I updated Gracenotes today via the USB drive. It took exactly 6 minutes, After updating, if you had CD's that have 'no title' information, you go into the HDD Source... play one of the tracks that has "No Title" ... then Select that track with the knob... go to Edit Title... then you will see at the bottom of the screen "Get Track Info" select that and it will scan the Gracenotes database and update the title/album data. One of mine found new data, one still wasn't there. Not all CDs seem to have their info in Gracenotes.

 

Quick question, I too plan on updating via USB. When you connect the USB (I assume go to the settings menu) does the car automatically recognize it to update?

 

you tell it to update via USB. Everything is automatic from there.

I went to do this, but the site takes you automatically to what seems to be a Navigation update only site page. Am I missing something?

 

I have updated by '12 TL in the past, but can't now. We just bought my wife a '14 RDX Tech and it will not update either.

Using a USB on both. Have tried will all the files in the root and a folder. I use Macs, but did when I updated the TL.

Anybody have suggestions?

 

I just tried to update my 2012 TL w/ Tech Package and the Update Gracenote option is grayed out. Any suggestions as to why it would be grayed out? I am trying via USB.
