Could I ask you all if the traffic will update in the middle of a trip? That is, you set the trip via the GPS, then during the drive, a traffic accident occurs and this info is passed via Acuralink/traffic update. Will the GPS inform you that there is a faster route or that there is traffic on the route?

I live in NYC and traffic is a major issue...my 2013 Honda Odyssey does NOT tell me at all. It just lets me drive into the traffic, which is inane. I just need a notice that new traffic has appeared, and I can reroute myself (but it would also be nice to have an automated rerouting).

Yes, the TLX will (through AcuraLink) display new traffic incidents, and automatically suggest (which you can accept or decline) a new route based upon the traffic situation.

I believe that you can turn this feature on/off in the settings as to whether or not you want the updated suggestions to appear or not.

 

Awesome! I was so disappointed that the 2013 Honda Odyssey wouldn't do it.
