Ff/rew

Is there no way to fast forward (or rewind) when playing a track (CD/HDD)? Based on what I've seen so far, it appears the answer is "no".

Skipping to the next/previous track is possible, but as far as I can tell there's no way to fast forward through long (e.g., live/medley/mix) tracks.

Did you try pressing and holding the next/previous track buttons? I can't say that it will, work in your TLX, but that's the way it works in the 3G for CDs. Give it a try.

Selecting and holding the change tracks icon, |>|, either forward or backward, allows one to move rapidly within a track or file.

The icon I tried to show did not print correctly in my response, but the info is on page 171, playing a disc, of my 2015 TLX Navigation manual.

Thank you. That does work. I thought I already tried that, but I may not have held it down long enough to note a difference.

Upon further testing, I confirmed that ff/rew works normally in HDD mode, however it does not work in CD mode *when recording*.

Since it usually only takes a few minutes to record a cd to HDD, I just let it finish rather than use any of the controls while it's recording.
