Does the headunit rip dts to hdd?

So I have a couple of dts cds converted from dvd audio. I read about the TLX tech being able to automatically rip/convert tracks to the built in HDD. However whenever my cd is in, I don't see any recording indicator. I've even updated the gracenotes database to the current (8266 I think) but still no go. When I set it to manual recording I have no idea where the manual record button is.

So after all this experimentation I'm going to guess that the car doesn't know how to rip dts tracks?

Correct. It plays them, but does not rip them. No way around this.

That's unfortunate. Was hoping it would straight rip the whole cd into wav format without converting it to mp3. Can't get everything I guess. Thanks!
