Nice! I purchased a similar one and then found that with my Note8, the connector made the phone overall too long to fit so I purchased these (made a perfect fit):
I then found it annoying to constantly pull my phone in and out for Amazon Music and Android Auto, so I just bought a used Google Pixel for $199 on Swappa and installed it today (I can add personal phones to my work account for $5 a month, unlimited data).
Seems like it will work well like this (just keeping it in the TLX). I'm not 100% sure how it will fair in the extreme heat/cold and will likely just bring it in on those types of days. I tested in the heat this afternoon and it didn't get too hot, although I know on days like we had here last week, it can get up to 140° inside, baking in the sun all day.
