Wrong TSB update applied?

Hi all,
Not sure if I should create a new thread on this since it a different question related to the 8 speed DTC issue, but if anything, mod, please move the thread =)

Anyone know what happen, even in long term, if the wrong TSB is applied to the car? I have a 4cyl TLX and wanted to the TSB 17-015 for my 8 speed transmission, and I got 15-040 and 16-012, which both are for the v6 9speed transmission. I tried to call my adviser and still waiting for a call back. Should I make them redo or leave it alone? Drove the car for 200 miles now, so far no issue. Does shift smoother than before, but somehow Sport mode and Normal mode are a bit similar now.

Got a hold of district manager, and he said it would not be possible to load a v6 TSB on the 4cyl vehicle. It could be a typo on the paperwork, but I saw they put down 2 updates for the v6 so not sure if this is another "dont worry about it" thing. Is there a way to look at what update are loaded on the car thru the hidden menu?

Different transmission..different software. Me thinks the system would not allow it.

I'm pretty sure the ECU wouldn't allow it, and even if it did, it would probably render the transmission useless. The transmissions are nothing alike

Yeah, not sure how that would even be possible since they are completely different transmissions, software, etc,and your transmission is still actually functioning.

Thanks all for the confirmed of what they told me. I'm still waiting for the response from the district manager. They insisted that it is impossible to get those 9 speed update on the 8 speed transmission, and a typo on the paper work. They still don't know why there are 2 updates for the v6 is written on my paperwork though. I'm not complaining about the transmission after the update. It is better than before but want to make sure if anything happen, I got it cover =)
