Am i the only one expecting this to happen? Acura has gone from a brand thats affordable and luxurious to a brand that is luxurious and over priced (personally). But I still will buy, just out of brand loyalty.

But I really want an TLX and lets be honest...the RLX is 63k for elite and 56k for tech package. a TL is 45k in canada for elite..

What reason do they have to lower it below that and make it the same price as a TL? It's better than a TSX...better than a TL.. so what incentives are their to get the TLX at that price point other than the looks?

 

^^ I am expecting our Canadian price to hit an MSRP of ~55k....That is the impression I got after being at the car show in Montreal.

If they proceed with that strategy, I think it will have an impact on their sales....I would be happy with the MSRP of 50k for the V6 SH-AWD. I know they are adding new features but many other companies have done the same with their cars and held the price...Here is to wishing though....especially if one wants some accessories like bodykits.

 

The "Elite" trim 4G TL has always been and still is MSRP'ed for about $50K Cdn, even though it may now be discounted to $45K Cdn due to it's end-of-model-cycle status and it's rapidly-falling monthly sales figures.

Therefore, DO expect the top-trim Canadian 5G TL to carry a MSRP of $50+ K Cdn, and even at $55K Cdn is not out of the extraordinary, when considered that the new RLX has gone up considerably in price over the outgoing RL sedan.

 

What's the incentive though for such a high price point?
