Sunroof visor?

It's interesting to me that Acura does not offer a sunroof visor as an option for the TLX. They did for both my 2007 TL Type S and my 2014 MDX. I have always gotten them despite the fact the brackets always seem to introduce a faint whistling due to a gap in the rubber seal around the sunroof, because without them, at highway speeds the air pours in the sunroof and creates quite a maelstrom.

What I would really like is if they could design a built in airfoil that directs the air up when the sunroof is open. They already have a small, sort of toothed piece of plastic that pops up, for no apparent purpose. It would be nice if they could turn that into something useful. :-)

It does product a lot of air. The toothed popup visor actually breaks up the air so you don't get and resonance in the headliner from having it open. We had a Toyota Highlander where it wasn't toothed and the resonance made the sunroof unusable.

Not sure if Acura makes a visor, but I believe Weathertech does. It will help with the wind.

I was actually going to make a new thread about this cause I find the sunroof to be less usable than my other two cars - 06 TL and 07 TSX. for some odd reasons, I am getting way too much air in the cabin and the air oddly enough is hitting me, as the driver, right into the neck area. I have never experienced this on any of the other cars and I never had the sunroof visor. I love driving with the roof open untill temps drop below 50, but in this car, this wont be possible as i would most likely get a sore neck after 5 min drive

I will play with the seat to see if there is any other position that works better cause I like the car and this unfortunately takes a bit out of the enjoyment - I do not even want to mention the the dreaded highway vibrations casue that is if not replaced soon by my dealer will be a deal breaker.

Same thing here - too much air hitting the back of my head. I now open it 3/4 of the way and that seems to solve the issue. However, I do wish there was a visor.

A few weeks after I got my car last year, I tried closing my sunroof as I was driving and it wouldn't close. I was like "crap! The sunroof is already malfunctioning?!" I pulled over to look at it and noticed a rock wedged into the opening. So that's what that "thunk" was as I was driving behind that truck at what I thought was a safe distance... I was thinking "man, I'm glad that thing didn't ricochet into the cabin and at my head while I was doing 70 mph". Scary thought. Anyway, I was thinking I wish I had a visor just for that reason.
