I have a 2016 Acura TLX 3.5L TECH I recently had an error code come up on my Acura and I see that there was a bulletin put out by Honda regarding this code back in 2019. The bulletin is MIL comes on with DTC P0420… now updating the computer software did in-fact fix the error code however I’m curious to know if my car software was last updated in 2020 could this code still come up? Or does this mean the car software had to have been last updated in 2019 before this bulletin came out? Any info would be much appreciated

 

Take the car down to the dealership and have the service department run your vin number to see if the bulletin was done

 

Yes the bulletin was done about one month ago and all that was needed was the update of the software. I purchased my car in 2020 and was just wondering if the software had been updated after that bulletin was posted and prior prior to selling me the vehicle in 2020 would this code still come up? Or does it mean they didn’t update the cars software prior to selling the vehicle ?
