Passenger seating too low?

I have the 2.4 tlx tech and the passenger seating doesn't seem to have a setting for height adjustment. Several people have rode in my car and complained about how low the seats sit. Is this just model specific? I also sat in the passenger seat whild I let a friend drive me and I was uncomfortable. Am I missing the ht adjustment setting or something? I could have sworn my 13 TSX passenger seating did have a height adjustment setting!

what do you have? base, tech or advanced? i used to have a 2011 mustang and that was the norm with their base models too. it didn't bother me for i flew solo back then but one guy simply bought a stack of washers and raised the height.

I believe that only the Advance/Elite models have the passenger seat height adjustment. See p180 of the Handbook on how this would operate. If it does not work on your car then that feature is not installed.

Not surprised that you think the seat is too low. Every time I'm in a loaner ILX or RDX, I always feel like the passenger seat is too low. It's probably for headroom, but it's very annoying!

I have the tech package. It's just strange because my lower cost TSX seemed to have this feature.

I've never seen passenger height adjustment in a TSX...could be wrong. Mine didnt. Most VWs do - means they can use the same seats on right and left hand drive models.

i have to agree that i haven't seen a height adjustment for the passenger on most cars unless you really move up the trim. having said that, Acura really did cuz some corners with the TLX in odd places like lack of AV in, leatherette for the base model and fake wood trims. none of them a deal breaker but they can be annoying if you were expecting it and didn't get it.

The GS350 I had did not have AV in either for $16K more than the loaded TLX. IMO, it's not a "must-have" feature for the general population.

Did you really expect everything for less than the competition and call it corner cutting when they aren't there.

nah. i would have called it "weight saving measures"

like i said so far what i've found weren't deal breakers for me. in fact the leatherette pretty much sealed the deal because we're planning for a baby. all in all i found the TLX to be perfect for us.

Agreed. The passenger seat is low in my 12 TL. Even in Advance trim, the passenger seat didn't get passenger seat height adjustment.

I have never had a passenger complain about the seats in any car/truck I've owned, not even the ex wife.
