Just came from my Dealer's Official launch event of the TLX and saw all the colours up close. Love the graphite, but the SSM is both attractive and the most practical (looks clean longer and doesn't show swirl marks). I also like the light grey interior.
I had a tough time deciding, but I had my anthracite TL for 10 years so I went with SSM for a change. You get a bonus with SSM - 2 colors! It looks bright silver in sunlight, and has a bluish tinge when it's overcast. You can't go wrong with either color.
Put a spoiler on whichever color you decide, it looks great on the car!
Slate silver with the graystone interior looks fantastic. I would never own a dark color car. I am meticulous about a clean car and one rain and the graphite luster will be dirty. The light silver with Zaino wax looks incredible. I had a 07 RL in that color and the reflection was incredible. The color never got dirty plus down the road you will never have to worry about swirl marks. Dealers always put dark color cars in the showroom and again clean and under lights they look great but that is not the real world.
As an SSM owner, I can tell you...I LOVE the color...it's very unique. And very awesome the way it "changes color" depending on lighting...from silver, to grey/blueish, to darker grey with a blue tint. It's really nice...I'm 10000% happy with the color.
I had a tough time with those 2 choices also. I ultimately decided on the Graphite(which is supposed to arrive next week!!!). I love the color and the metallic specks. I wanted a change since my current TL (which I've had since 2005) is Satin Silver.

Yeah I kinda feel the same, my last three cars and last two TLs have been silver...
None of the above. We leased a 4-cyl TSX Tech this week in Black Copper Pearl with Parchment interior. When the sales guy brought it up, we didn't know what color it was, black, copper or brown. Very elegant. A chameleon. My wife loves it and it doesn't clash with the black RDX parked next to it in the garage.
Has anyone gone with white with expresso leather. I like the white and the uniqueness of the leather colour, however, in some lights it seems to look a little pinkish. For those that have selected it, any regrets? I have this scheme on hold, but am leaning to the SSM with grey interior. HELP!
It came down to these 2 colors for me as well. I went with SSM. No regrets. Very unique color/not your average silver. I like the TLX in black or white as well, but my last 2 cars were black and white. Just wanted something different. GLM is very nice too, but it's a very dark color; visibility at night was my concern. I was rear ended 3 times when I owned a black Lexus GS300. No accidents with my white BMW. So the statistics do matter when it comes to color of your car vs. safety. I figured the SSM was light enough to have better visibility.
Thanks folks. I had also come to the conclusion that the SSM with grey leather was what I wanted. Too many black leather interiors, although they tend to be more practical. Anyhow, I also wanted a 2.4 Tech, and this colour combo was nowhere to be found or on order anywhere in Canada, without paying extra. They made me an excellent offer on the one SSM and grey car they had - a 6 cylinder Tech with SH-AWD. My first 6 cylinder vehicle. I still prefer the 4 because of the better city mileage, but having the AWD is another first. This winter, I will save the money I would have shelled out for new snow tires…and see how that goes. Pick it up Friday and I am pretty pumped. Tuning in our Civic coming off warranty and my wife will put up with our Altima SL Tech
I am of course second guessing the extra cash for the 6 Tech SH-AWD, but with the extra features, the good price and getting the colour scheme I wanted, it will be worth it!
I have the BwP with the espresso interior, advance paws 6 cyl. No regrets at all! I had 2001 CLS in the silver, 2005 TL in anthracite, 2012 TL advance with Bls in charcoal luster grey and was happy with all, this is my first white car! It's smoking with ceramic tints as well!
